Consecration Prayer - Module Wrap-Up

Hello, Contenders of Victory!

I give God glory for how He is taking us deeper through our Consecration Prayer. He's doing that deep cleaning that we need so very much!

To wrap up this module, I want us to watch this teaching from Pastor Michael Todd that asks, "Who's Really in Control?" Pastor Todd opened up by saying, "God's in control, but we have our hands in a whole lot of stuff." This teaching will cause us to evaluate ourselves - to identify areas where we are following our flesh rather than our spirit.

Your assignment this week is to watch the video.

Consecration Prayer - Scripture Connections: Week 6

Hello, Contenders of Victory!

I give God glory for how He is helping us to get ourselves out of the way and draw closer to Him. As we recently celebrated the Christmas holiday, I want to put you in remembrance: How precious is Your steadfast love, O God.

Let me encourage you:

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son...

Make much of God's love, and God's love will make much of you.

Let's show God that we find this consecration prayer that He has given us precious. Let's take the time to study the scriptures that go along with the prayer and show Him that we treasure this Word and the work He wants to do in us, for us, with us, and through us. We do that by taking the time to hear what He is saying and to on-purpose grow in understanding of what He is saying to us, requiring of us, and desiring for us.

Assignment:

1. Choose one of the scripture references listed at the bottom of the prayer. Take the time to locate the scriptures in the prayer, meditate them, and pray them out. They are already written in prayer form for you.

Consecration Prayer - Scripture Connections: Week 5

God is great and greatly to be praised! He is doing an awesome work in each of us. He's calling us deeper and awakening us to the accountability to which we are held.

Putting you in remembrance of what God has been quickening to us:

The 2nd word of the prayer - PRECIOUS. When something is precious, it is highly valued, prized, and weighty.

How precious is Your steadfast love, O God.

How do we show Him that we treasure His love? By not taking it for granted. By receiving all that He has provided to us through and because of His love and receiving it on the same level that He desires to bless.

Let's show God that we find this consecration prayer that He has given us precious. Let's take the time to study the scriptures that go along with the prayer and show Him that we treasure this Word and the work He wants to do in us, for us, with us, and through us. We do that by taking the time to hear what He is saying and to on-purpose grow in understanding of what He is saying to us, requiring of us, and desiring for us.

Consecration Prayer - Scripture Connections: Week 4

Hello, Contenders of Victory!

Praise God for the work that He is doing in each of us!

"Listen" to this testimony from Shalom:

In the literal sense, "Our bellies are not our gods," I experienced that literally in the last couple of days when making decisions about what I would eat or drink. (I'm drinking more water instead of soda and making conscious decisions at meals.)

Check out this revelation that Charmain received:

Yielding our appetites, carnal or spiritual, really is enhanced by the grace of God - human effort alone is insufficient. But even when the grace of God is available to me, it still requires me to make the choice to avail myself of His grace.

Do you see a theme here? Both of these Contenders of Victory mentioned how they have to make decisions and choices in order to not live according to the flesh. The grace of God is available, but right choices aren't going to happen without our participation. What right choices have you made this week? How have you cooperated with the grace of God to yield your appetite to Him?

Consecration Prayer - Scripture Connections: Week 3

Hello, Contenders of Victory!

I'm believing that each of you is enjoying a deeper walk with the Lord. I was giving God praise this morning for His Word and the deep cleaning effect that it has. He is doing a quick work in my life. It's like when you heat a knife so it can cut easier. It hurts, but not as much as it ordinarily would have.

Since we've been on this meditation journey of consecration, I am noticing more quickly the corrections the Lord is giving me, and I am experiencing greater joy at recognizing them. Not to mention the victorious results!

These past weeks, we have meditated our Consecration Prayer and made scripture connections. I look forward to hearing what God has been ministering to you AND to seeing the changes that are coming about.

End of Year Reflections

Hello, Contenders of Victory!

What a blessed year this has been in Discipleship Way! We give God all the glory!

Congratulations on completing this year's discipleship journey. It is such a joy and an honor to be the one God has chosen to disciple you in this season. Your growth has been nothing short of glorious. Hold on to God's unchanging hand. He's got so much for you!

There is no assignment this week or next week EXCEPT to complete the End-of-Year Feed back form. This form is due by Wednesday, December 28th at 5:30 pm EAT / 8:30 am CT. Once you return this form, you will receive your Certificate of Participation for Discipleship Way Kenya 2022.

Blessings this Christmas season. We will reconvene on Wednesday, January 4, 2022.

I thank God for what He is doing in our lives and for how He is taking each of us into deeper places of consecration.

As I've been meditating our Consecration Prayer, the Lord stopped me at the 2nd word in the prayer: PRECIOUS.

When something is precious, it is highly valued, prized, and weighty.

How precious is Your steadfast love, O God.

The Lord is teaching us to place a high value on His love. To greatly prize His love. To give His love extreme weight in our lives, such that we treasure it.

How do we show Him that we treasure His love? By not taking it for granted. By receiving all that He has provided to us through and because of His love and receiving it on the same level that He desires to bless.

Meditate these truths. I look forward to hearing the revelation that God has imparted to you when we meet again.
